As a veterinarian specialised in veterinary public health and data analysis, her main area of expertise is the use of data to support risk management decisions and secure the food chain, taking animal health, animal welfare and food safety into account in a global manner.
Morgane is part of WG3 and leads a task dedicated to risk categorisation of abattoirs.
Her contributions to the training school are the following:
- State of play in the field of risk categorisation of abattoirs among European competent authorities
- Development of a risk categorisation tool to support competent authorities and food business operators in their progress towards risk categorisation
I am convinced that participants will gain a broader perspective on risk categorisation of farms and abattoirs that will allow them to combine different approaches and get a more comprehensive picture of risk-based meat safety assurance systems.
