Veterinary officer, head of laboratory of safety and quality of the food chain.

He manages a laboratory carrying out microbiological and parasitological analyses of food at all stages of the production chain. He provides consultancy to Food Businesses Operators about Food Safety Management Systems.
The core elements of his research activities are investigating the epidemiology of zoonotic pathogens in food products with a focus on meat. He furthermore focuses on methodologies of evidence synthesis and risk assessment, on antimicrobial resistance and on novel food.

His contribution to the training school are the following:

  • Future roles of vets in food production: From pathology-> microbiology-> epidemiology
