Dragan Antic

Senior lecturer in veterinary public health, University of Liverpool, UK

I am veterinarian, Diplomate of ECVPH and senior academic regularly involved in teaching, research and knowledge exchange in microbial risk assessment/management of zoonotic foodborne pathogens and food safety management systems. My research interests are in policy-led food science/microbiology topics, mainly in developing controls (interventions) for main foodborne pathogens in meat chain.

Dragan is one of the training school organisers. He will be your host and deliver several sessions:

  • Welcome message
  • Physical abattoir interventions
  • Results from ongoing WG3 work (interventions in beef, pigs, sheep, poultry)
  • Workshop: How to design studies to investigate interventions’ performance in abattoir

Good research starts with a good study design. If you want to learn how to design controlled trials and other experimental and quasi-experimental studies to investigate the efficacy of abattoir interventions, you are in the right place!
